2011 Merlot

Columbia Valley AVA

All grapes for Donedei wines are hand-picked, sorted and gently crushed – we are 100% free run, which means we do not press (very unusual) to enhance concentration and color intensity and then ferment in small lots using proprietary yeasts. In addition, our wines are un-filtered and un-fined so we recommend decanting a bottle before enjoying. Our team takes great pride in what we do and we hope it shows in every glass.

Our 2011 Merlot is a big and chewy wine with finesse and character that will linger in the mouth for a very long time – often mistaken for a cabernet sauvignon. Big dark fruit with hints of cherry and spice. Tannins are forward but don’t take the enamel off of your teeth. This wine will cellar for a long time but is ready now. Try with rich sauce based full-bodied meat dishes and cheese.
